Open Positions:

Receptionist - Kennewick

Position:

ELG Estate Planning is seeking a talented receptionist for its Kennewick office. 

Overall Responsibility:

The Receptionist’s primary task is to begin an excellent experience for every person who contacts ELG Estate Planning by telephone or in person.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Answering and forwarding phone calls in a professional manner, and notating calls  in client software database 
  • Welcoming clients and visitors upon arrival at reception 
  • Assisting with copying, scanning, faxing, emailing 
  • Processing and scanning incoming mail and recording all client-related mail in client software database
  • Assisting paralegal and other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with office administrative support
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Email and Excel)
  • Outgoing, friendly personality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail

Hours, Compensation and Benefits:

  • This is a M-F, 8:30am – 5:00pm position, full-time. Part-time will be considered • Compensation is $16-18 an hour, DOE
  • Benefits for full-time employees include health insurance with vision coverage, dental insurance, holidays, vacation and paid time off, and Simple IRA Retirement Account with Employer Match Contributions

Sales Consultant

Position:

We are looking for a candidate to fill a Sales Consultant role in our Tri-Cities office. It’s an inside sales job at its core where you are the point person meeting with potential new clients and beginning their relationship with the firm.

What kind of background / skill sets / experience will have success in this role?

A 2+ year track record of success in a variety of different sales roles will be a leg up:

  • Roles that include: Relationship Manager, Accounts Manager, Business Development  roles, Closing roles (especially in the Finance or Real Estate industries), Portfolio  Managers, and/or any Sales role that is based around a Consultative Sales  Process/Approach
  • Success in industries such as Insurance, Banking or Private Client Management, roles in  the Financial Services/Investment industry can translate very well into this position

You’ll be meeting with potential new clients to talk about the most important things in their lives: their families, their assets, their health, etc. & asking them to entrust all that to our firm = being good at selling ideas/intangible things you can’t “put your hands on” is the key skill you want to bring to the table.

Main Job Functions and Attributes for Success in the Role:

  • Following up on company-generated warm leads via telephone or electronically,
  • Meeting with potential new clients to assess needs
  • Generating interest in our firm’s services to address those needs
  • Offering / demonstrating appropriate solutions & Closing on hiring decision
  • Obtaining signed fee agreements
  • Identifying potential new markets and following up to achieve new business opportunities
  • Initiating regular and systematic telephone follow-up of clients and maintaining records using a CRM system. Working Knowledge/Experience with CRM systems is required
  • A proven track record with consistent Over-Achievement of Quota, Revenue Generation, Retention, and Closing Ratio goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as the enthusiasm needed to champion products and the firm

Compensation / Hours / Perks of being on the Team 

  • Compensation base of $20 per hour, plus regular performance incentive pay paid monthly

Contract Attorney - Seattle

Position:

ELG Estate Planning is looking for a talented, hardworking, and motivated Estate Planning and Elder Law attorney to provide contract legal services for our Seattle office.

The contract attorney will be an integral part of the new Seattle office. Duties include:

  • Conducting the Legal Strategy Meeting in the Seattle office with the firm’s clients living in the Puget Sound to prepare the individualized Estate Plan 
  • Working remotely with the ELG team to prepare all legal documents
  • Attending requested in-person client meetings and conducting the Estate Planning signings in the Seattle office
  • Responding to client questions and providing guidance

Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in Estate Planning, Trusts & Estates, and Probate & Trust Administration. Elder Law and Medicaid expertise not required. Business and Real Estate experience not required, but a plus.

Legal Assistant - Spokane or Tri-Cities

Legal Assistant

ELG Estate Planning, a preeminent Estate Planning and Elder Law firm, is seeking a talented Legal Assistant for the Spokane or Tri-Cities office.

Position:

This position provides support to the Legal Team. Job responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and organize client files; scan and file documents for accurate client file management; ensure client information is accurate; prepare client notebooks; activate and close files.
  • Communicate with clients.
  • Draft correspondence and documents for clients under the guidance of the Legal Manager.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of the legal field is not needed but preferred. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proficient in email and calendaring through Microsoft Office Outlook
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn HotDocs
  • An excellent and accurate typist
  • Superb proofreading skills
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized
  • Punctual and reliable

Compensation and Hours:

  • Salary is between $16 to $20 an hour
  • Full benefit package including medical and dental insurance, 9 paid holidays, paid time off, and a Simple IRA with a 3% match.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 30-minute lunch.
Office location is Spokane or Tri-Cities.
